Multiple-Belt Oil Skimmer

OILSEIZER® KOS-BXXXXSR-XMT series Multi-Belt Skimmers, comprising two or more belts arranged in a row, are used to quickly separate or remove a great amount of floating oils or oily scums from water or solutions, primarily at steel mills, iron mills, petrochemical plants and oil refineries, in situations where much process water or wastewater tanks or reservoirs usually are covered with wide-spreading, layer-forming immiscible oils that flow in from different sources in the process of manufacture.

- Two side access doors on both sides left and right of each belt enable selecting the direction of positioning the skimmer. Additionally it allows not only easy replacement of tail pulleys and wipers but easy cleaning of the oil discharge chute as and when required.

- Transparent pane of side access door admits instant observation on how the belt moves and oil being wiped off, whenever required

- Selective endless belts, polymer, stainless steel, chemical-resistant, or high temperature-resistant, according to liquid characteristic

- Once the sliding clear front access panel is removed, endless belts can easily be installed or removed for a handy replacement with the advantage of being endless

- Oil- and wear-resistant wiper blades to closely contact with both belt sides

- Pulley yokes and chains to prevent tail pulleys from deviating or falling off

- Optional motor cover to protect against direct rainwater or sunray in outdoor installation

- Skimmer housing made of stainless steel (SS304) or powder coated steel

Specifications

* Pre-installation considerations

Direction of positioning the skimmer (use of either side access door adjacent to wiper assembly sets recommended), hourly peak of oil influx, state of oils (floating, free-flowing), tank (aboveground or underground), height of skimmed oil holding container, lowest water level, water temperature, electric voltage, etc.

* Installation of skimmer, stand frame and electric wiring are not included in scope of supply unless otherwise expressly stated in sales contact

* Options

- Belt length: min. 300mm (measured from skimmer base down to tail pulley center, in an increment of 300mm up to max. 3000mm or as required. When the skimmer requires an elevated installation over floor level, the extension of belt length should be considered.)

- Motor electricity: Customer's voltage, phase, hertz are required along with selection of on-off switch or control box. On-off switch comes standard for single phase motor only.

- Motor cover: an option protects against direct rainwater and sunray in outdoor installation

- Timer, stand frame, motor (belt turning speed controller, waterproof, explosionproof)

- Skimmer housing material in stainless steel (SS304) or powder coated steel
