KHS Hydrocyclone Coolant Separators are efficient, economical coolant clarifiers. Actively used to separate and remove ferrous, non-ferrous and non-metallic particles, from water-based coolant and solution. Thus the clean coolant can be recirculated. Often called "cyclonic filtration system" or "centrifugal separator". | |

How it works |
Contaminated coolant is fed by pump to the hydrocyclone cell. The coolant begins to swirl and accelerate downward creating centrifugal force up to 7,500gravity. This force removes out solid particles from the coolant to 10 microns. The solid particles accumulate toward on the wall of the cell and slide down toward a discharge nozzle in a slurry state falling into a sludge container. Forming a secondary rising by the differential pressure in the lower cyclonic chamber, the clean coolant passes up through the vortex finder and is transferred to the clean coolant tank or direct to the machine tool. |
Features |
* Clarity: 10 micron with 98% efficiency (5 micron with particles of S.G. 7.8 for some finish grinding or honing operation) * Workable conditions: (1)solid S.G.-min. 2.5, size-max. 1.3㎜ (2)liquid viscosity-max. 13cSt(70ssu), temp. -max. 70°C(158°F) * No consumable filter media to clog and replace and no moving parts except the feed pump * Automatic, continuous operation, re-separation and aeration, with no cleaning of contaminated coolant storage or tank * No influence on the chemical properties in coolant and washing solutions. * Four types to suit plant needs: tank unit, self priming, on-tank mounting, in-tank dipping * Options: Electric control box(for additions i.e. feed pump switch, liquid level switch relay or timer), magnetic separator, oil cooler |
